Title: Museum Collections Centre
Title: Teaching Sessions

The Museum Collections Centre is a unique site that holds all the collections not currently on display at Birmingham Museum. It offers a vast array of objects which can be used to study design and technology, changes over time, Birmingham history, the value of artefacts as evidence or simply as inspiration for art or creative writing projects. We are happy to offer one of the following to your class:

  • A general guided tour. This will last about an hour and the cost is £35 per group of 15 pupils or part thereof.
  • A facilitated visit. The subject can be discussed before you book but as a guide other schools (both primary and secondary) have used the collections for drawing or photography sessions whilst others have visited us for inspiration before designing their own time capsules! Details regarding length of visit and cost will vary depending on your needs.

There is plenty of free parking on site for cars, minibuses or coaches.

Please ring Louise Taylor 0121 675 2579 or email Louise.A.Taylor@birmingham.gov.uk for more information.
