Candles and Spits at Aston Hall - Bevel Gears
		Here's a Lego™ model to show how Bevel gears are used to take the energy from the chimney turbine to the spit pulley. The turbine shaft is vertical and the spit shaft is horizontal so the gears have turn the energy through a right angle. The teeth are set at 45 degrees so that added together they make 90 degrees or a right angle.
